Bejeweled Blitz
High-speed version of the classic Bejeweled experience

Bejeweled Blitz is the third in the Bejeweled series where you have to match lines of coloured gems as quickly as possible to clear each level. The gameplay is exactly the same as in every other version of Bejeweled where you swap gems that are next to each other to create sets of at least three in a straight line.
The Difference of Blitz
What makes Blitz different is the time limited aspect of each round, and the powerups that you can earn. In a typical Bejeweled game, you're either playing for fun until there are no more matches or until the timer runs out. In a Blitz game, you have one minute to score as many points as you can. The computer automatically configures the new gems to keep your game alive, so you can focus on picking out the best matches to allow you to get the power ups.
Power-ups
Unlike other versions of Bejeweled, the bonuses for making different sets are special gems in the gameplay area rather than bonus scores:
• Four in a row - creating a line of four gems of one colour gives you an exploding gem. When you match this gem, it blows up everything in a one gem radius, giving you plenty of points.
• T or L-shape - creating connecting groups of three either to make a letter T or L gives you an electric gem. This, when matched as normal, sends a line of electricity vertically and horizontally to wipe out all gems and big up your score.
• Five in a row - this is very rare, so you get a good bonus for doing so. You get a silver gem which you simply match to one other gem. It will then wipe every single gem of that colour, a great way to clear the board and gain lots of points.
Of course, the key strategy is to create these special gems as frequently as possible, then "cascade" them all together to bump up your score
